Well, I'm down to 99 days left...and that's if I go all the way to 40 weeks. Right now the doctors are saying we should deliver at 36 weeks or so. YIKES! Jack will be here before I know it! This week went by pretty uneventfully. I did go to Washington Hospital Center to meet the OB that would deliver Jack. To make a long story short I don't think they're experienced enough. My gut is telling me not to deliver in D.C. and I will see what Dr. Kramer says this Thursday about Houston, CHOP and Hopkins. Right now I would really like to go to CHOP. From everything I read they're the best. I already checked out the Ronald McDonald House and it's next to CHOP so that would make things easier. I just have to figure out what to do with the dogs if we're off in Philly for 1-2 months. I'm sure something will work out. I have to stop getting stressed about these little details. This next week I have to go for another RhoGAM shot (because I'm Rh negative) and the glucose test. Then there's the appt with Dr. Kramer on Thursday. I hope we see some bigger lungs then last visit.
Love

Vic,
Hi my name is Amy and I am also a CDH mommy who lives in the DC area. From what I have learned you have to go with your gut. That is the only way to get through this journey. I do believe in mothers gut feelings and it helped me along my journey and I believe you know what is best for your baby! Also why would they deliver you so early. CDH is a condition that makes for poor lung development and at 36 weeks the lungs would be under developed on a healthy child...just curious as to why they would do that.
