Catch-Up

I am once again behind on posting to Jack's blog. We had a good week and actually some big news. Wednesday night was Jack's LAST DOSE of Prevacid. We got the OK to do a trial period of him off this medication (which is for reflux). KNOCK WOOD - he has done great. No signs of reflux or irritability at all. If anything he is actually eating better. I can't imagine why - it must be coincidental but we're thrilled. He's been chowing down the solids and the last time we weighed him a few days ago he was 16 pounds 5 oz. Discontinuing Jack's prevacid was a huge deal because this was his last medication. We are medicine FREE!!!! Let's pray he continues to do well so we can stay off of it!

Below are some photos from the past week. Jack and I opened the pool last weekend. I only dipped his feet & legs in because it's still not warm enough for him in my opinion. He loved splashing though. I liked the third photo because I was trying to take a closeup and he grabbed the camera!

Today we visited friends and Jack got to hang out with his buddies Elias and Finnian. Jack is the old man of the group being 9 months. Finn is 5 months and Elias is 4 months. They all had fun playing together. They're definitely getting more aware of each other.

Next Wed Jack will get to meet his friend Wyatt in person for the first time! We're having dinner with Gina, Benji, Chloe, Wyatt and Wyatt and Jack's surgeon Nicole. I can't wait!

Finally, I wanted to send a congratulations to baby Sophia who is now HOME!!! I absolutely love to hear about other CDH babies doing well and going home.
