Posing for Mommy

Just a few photos to update the blog. This week flew by. I survived my first week back to work. James and Jack are in a great routine and doing great during the day. Jack had his 6 month review with Infants & Toddlers. We have an occupational therapist that comes to our home to work with Jack. He's doing great (9-11 month range) for social, adaptive and fine motor skills. We're still around the 5 month mark for gross motor skills. He can sit on his own but doesn't have the strength to go from laying down to sitting and doesn't crawl yet. Considering all he's been through I think he's doing great. I think the plan will be to bring in a physical therapist. We realized that Jack is very strong in extension sorts of moves such as jumping up in his jumperoo, pushing against us with his legs and stuff like that. He can lock his legs but if he unlocks them he's like a wet noodle. I think of it like when you exercise and it's usually easy to push against something but to go back slowly it's always more challenging. It's just something we need to work on.
Not much else is new. We're still trying to get Jack that heart monitor - something that is proving difficult. We also have to get him in to an allergist because of some weird reactions he's had to certain foods.
That's about it for now. Tomorrow we're going to visit with a former coworker of mine. He and his wife adopted our dog Ginger so we'll get to see her too!
