November 9th has always been a very special day in my family. It is my Uncle Len's Birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle Len! Last year we didn't think it was coincidence that November 9th was also the day Jack came home from the hospital. In total he spent 81 days in the PICU/NICU. This year we have a happy and healthy Jack at home. The only thing that would make this day better is if we could be with my uncle in NY. Jack caught a cold then gave it to me and James. Jack is pretty much fine but I think the germs somehow got heated up passing through Jack and I'm wiped out. Anyway, that prevented us from going to NY. To try and make up for it Jack and I made the montage below for Uncle Len. Anyone who knows my Uncle is fully aware that he is hands-down one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He is selfless, kind and has the best sense of humor and is always playing practical jokes on his poor office mates! Some of my best memories of my childhood are of days I spent with him and my Aunt Carol (who passed away 5 years ago). I decided to make a montage of photos of Jack and Uncle Len and I know that Jack loves you just as much as me. You were there for him on the day he was diagnosed and I needed someone to talk to (for HOURS), when he was born and on ECMO, you were the first person besides James and I to hold him and your name is the only other name he can say besides MaMa, DaDa and Elmo!
I wish we could be with you today but in our absence I hope this video will tide you over. We love you very much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
