Admitted to the hospital

I'm updating the blog from Shady Grove Hospital. My amniotic fluid levels dropped to below 4. Dr. Kramer sent me straight to the hospital. I wasn't even allowed to go home and get anything. The baby is doing well but I will be here and on bed rest until at least Thursday when he does another ultrasound to check the fluid again. The doc thinks I might be here until I'm 37 weeks. Today I'm 35 weeks, 3 days. He wants to keep her inside until 37, unless things change and we have to go in and get her. They don't know the exact reason for the low fluid levels but suspect it's a placental insufficiency. Her kidneys appear OK and my water didn't break. All we can do now is have me hooked up to monitor her and keep me on bed rest with iv fluids.

The good part is that I have wireless internet in my room and TV so I won't go crazy too soon. James also brought me tons of magazines.

We'll keep you guys updated. I guess I'm destined to never have a normal pregnancy. Oh yeah, I'm also hooked up to the Holter heart monitor today. What a crazy day. You couldn't get another tube in/on me today!

We are thinking and praying for you. I was on bed rest with Wyatt at Hopkins and I was so BORED and uncomfortable. I really feel for you and I just know everything is going to be fine... I guess this means you are going to miss the NICU reunion??

ugh! I hope you're doing okay and holding up well. We're thinking of you, and I hope you're not actually stuck in the hospital until 37 weeks! Love you and the boys like crazy... if you need anything, let me know.
