If yesterday was as ugly and rainy of a day as you can imagine, then today was the most spectacular, sunny fall day. I was hoping to get the kids out of the house so I was really excited when friends of ours called and invited us to join them on an outing to Crumland Farms. This was the first time that I took both kids out by myself (other than for a walk around the neighborhood). We had a fantastic time. Jack enjoyed playing with his friend Kelsey. They had a 'hay jump' - essentially a huge pit of loose hay surrounded by a hay bail fence. I actually jumped in with Jack and by the end of the trip we were covered in hay from head to toe. Once we got home and James undressed Jack for a bath he said that he had hay in his shoes, diaper and under his hat. Haha! Anika was a good girl the whole trip. She enjoyed looking around and napping in the sun. Below are some photos and video from our trip. For the record, I still don't know how I fit in the train car with Jack but I'm sure my back will pay for it later! So worth it though!!!
