I went to the high risk OB this morning after 2 days of wicked contractions. I was getting about 2/hr of the Braxton-Hicks contractions but then they started getting really painful and I had pain by my kidneys too. I couldn't tell if it was from the hydronephrosis (swollen kidney) but my mom was worried it was back labor. In the end they found that the amniotic fluid levels jumped back up again and that's likely why I'm getting the contractions. Fortunately the cervix looks OK still so they just told me to rest until I go back Friday. Jack doesn't seem to be the slightest bit bothered because he's been more active/hyper as this all has been going on. Every time I get a contraction and it finally relaxes he just winds up and let's me have it with kicks and punches. I think he hates the contractions as much as me! Well, that's the report for now. Hopefully we'll have better news (ie: lower fluid levels) on Friday. For now it's bed rest with my laptop so I can telecommute!

Keeping you and baby Jack in our prayers! I hope your fluid levels go down--you are almost there!!!! One thing I've noticed with my little baby boy is that he seems to be more active when i have my laptop in my lap--I think he can hear/feel the slight hummmmmm it does--and he always jumps when the "fan" on my laptop kicks on--I bet baby Jack is the same way!
