Our little piggy!

Jack has been very busy amazing us this week. Firstly, he now weighs 20 pounds and 2 oz. That not only puts him on the growth charts for the first time EVER but he skipped the 3rd and went straight to the 5th percentile! He is really getting stronger and looks so muscular now. Today was an incredible day for him too. He fed himself Gerber puff treats for the first time AND took his first steps! I thought I imagined him taking 1 step then James came home and he took 2 steps to James! Each milestone that Jack meets is so monumental and reminds us how truly lucky we are. He is also doing the sign for "More" and when we have dinner he sits there and signs faster then I can shovel the food in! He wants whatever is on my plate. No more baby food for him!

There has also been a lot of news in our extended CDH family. Terri's little girl Ava was airlifted to the hospital and had emergency surgery. She is still on the ventilator but hopefully will be extubated soon. Her blog is listed in Jack's blog roll. She is in our thoughts & prayers. In other news, we want to say "WELCOME BABY CARTER". Kellie, Brad & Lucy welcomed Carter into the world today. On their blog they said that Carter's oxygen levels were in the 70's when he was breathing on his own. Amazing! I hope he is one of those babes that goes to surgery to get repaired and gets home in record time!

Finally, since my parents and Uncle are having withdrawl symptoms I'm posting some new pictures of Jack. His nanny taught him to make this silly face that they call 'snarfling'. He loves to do it!

Amazing - you will have no rest once he puts it all together. Noah never walked - he ran, skipped, hopped, jumped, bounced and still does! Yes it is fun!

Great on the weight gain too!

Go Jack!

I have not left a comment since very early on in Jack's life story (almost a year ago now I believe). Thank you for posting all of these updates. Jack's development is a source of constant joy for me. It is a preview of what is to come in my own life (my son, Nathaniel, is almost 10 months old and he follows Jack's moves like clockwork).
Congratulations Jack on those first steps! So many people are so proud of you.

Congrats on your first steps Jack!!!! What a big day for you! The weight gain is awesome. Welcome to the 5th Percentile Club, big boy! I have a feeling you'll be leaving us in the dust for higher numbers very soon though!
