Jack made his first trip to the Frederick Public Library. They have a really great kids room with tons of books, DVDs, books on CD etc. In the back they have tables with stuff to color and bins of crayons. I helped Jack color his first picture. He was able to make 2 lines but most of the time he looked like he would rather try and eat the crayons.
Tonight I was in my office upstairs and James yelled for me to hurry up and run downstairs. When I got there Jack was laying on the floor with toys in front of him. He looked like he was doing that old breakdancing move, The Worm. It was hysterical. James claims that Jack crawled forward (2 'steps'). By the time I got downstairs he was already a little frustrated and just wiggling around. I think he might get the crawling thing soon though.
We have also started to stand Jack up in his crib. He can hold the railing and balance himself for a few seconds. I was doing this with him today for a while. He was smiling and thought he was a big boy. After a few minutes I noticed that he was getting winded and then his legs got wobbly and he sat down. That was the first time I have ever noticed him getting winded. I wonder if this is a normal baby thing or is it because he has to work harder to breathe? It wasn't a big deal at all, just something I noticed. It actually made me realize that we're very lucky that he does everything else with no problem and doesn't require any lung medicine.
Well, that's about it for an action packed Saturday at our house. Jack was able to go shopping again today and sit in the shopping cart like a big boy. He loves that! I love that our grocery store has disinfectant wipes so I can clean the cart before I put him in!
We really need to get one of those fabric protectors.

Did Jack get any books? Did he get his own Library Card? Noah has one and loves it!
He might need to get conditioned to stand - I have seen other babies get winded too. But it is more of a concern with special babes with CDH.
Libraries are wonderful!

That's so funny that he was doing "The Worm".
Those cart covers are awesome.
