HOORAY! We got Jack's holter/cardiology report today and it was GOOD news! While not completely normal, it was good enough to allow us to space our visits and tests with cardiology to once per year. They measured 159,000 heartbeats over 24 hrs and roughly 12,000 were irregular beats. They were a combination of premature atrial contractions (PACs) and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). Most were PACs, the less bad type. Because this was a total of 8%, we were below the magic # of 10% and got the good report from Hopkins. They said he had no prolonged periods of tachycardia (rapid heartrate) either. The cardiologist said that the report was 'medically interesting but not significant'. I couldn't believe they were talking about Jack!! Jack is usually the king of "we've never seen this before!" Needless to say, we're over the moon with this news. For reference purposes, his last holter reading showed 12% irregular beats and they were mostly PVCs. This was good improvement!
The photos show Jack when we were removing the holter and leads after the 24 hr reading. He never tried to pull them off. Once we got the leads off he looked like a member of Blue Man Group from the wrap. We had to scrub him down and the whole bath turned blue!
Jack is currently playing with his Grammie who is visiting for the week. He got so excited to see her and ran over and gave her hugs and kisses.
Jack was also excited to watch Sofie Miller's reaction to his own dancing. We have taken some video of Jack playing his recorder, shaking his maraca's and playing the piano. We can't wait to see Sofie's reaction to that! I hope to upload that video this weekend!

This is good news! Jack deserved this appointment - as did Mom and Dad! I hope his heart continues to improve! Lord knows he is a love - and all boy on top of it!
Noah loves his Grandmom like that too!
Best news I've heard in awhile! Yay Jack!!!
