A good big brother

Jack is adjusting to life with Anika. He doesn't like it when she cries but he's getting more used to it. Fortunately, she only seems to fuss when she's hungry. He does go crazy, however, when we feed her and he sees the bottle (we're supplementing her feeds). We let him finish what she doesn't. He is very gentle with her and likes to give her kisses. I tried to quickly snap the photo above with my cell phone.

He also pointed out her body parts (ears, eyes, nose) and when he got to her mouth he removed her Wubbanub pacifier, put it in his mouth then pointed to her lips. It was so cute. I think he's sad because his original Froggie Wubbanub finally died yesterday. The pacifier part got a hole. I bought him a new monkey one and I think he's warming up to it. We're saving Froggie though since he was with Jack for many adventures!

Also, Anika seems to be sleeping well (KNOCK WOOD!). Last night she ate at midnight and didn't wake for another feeding until 5:30AM. She is a chow hound! She eats between 3-4 ounces at each feeding! I think Jack was 9 months before he could do that! What a totally different experience!!
